You might not know it yet, but you can help us create innovative solutions to decrease gender-based violence effectively and cost efficiently. Crowdsourcing at its best & for the best - all you need is a little time on your hands and an internet connection. This is a list of people we're looking to get in touch with.

individuals we're looking for

  • We invite anyone interested in discussing one or more topics concerning our work with us and others via Slack or email. Whether you’d like to make sure your personal experiences or your professional expertise are considered, get in touch with us, join our Slack and get involved as much or as little as you’d like, no strings attached.

  • We are especially looking for students of different subjects such as law, medicine, psychology, criminology and others who are interested in working with us on a project basis – no strings attached. 

  • We are looking for people who have an idea for a technological, scalable solution to a problem related to gender-based / sexual violence, such as an app, a website, a technological tool, an organization, etc. 

  • We are looking for German-speaking people who would like to help us create a data base of programs, tools and other help for people affected by GBV - this basically means googling and/ or making phone calls 

  • You can also help us by following us on facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram and by sharing our website or our video with others!

NGOs / people working for NGOs we'd like to collaborate with

  • There's many NGOs that are successfully decreasing gender-based violence and its consequences. We would like to get in touch with organizations or people working in these organizations in order to start a conversation in which we can validate certain theses, approaches and strategies. The location, approach and outreach of the NGO is not crucial to us as this is less about data than about your experience of working in the field. 

  • At this point in time, we're especially interested in talking to people who have worked in advice or crisis centers, as helpline operators or in similarly direct contact with people affected by GBV and who are willing to share their expertise with us and support us in the development of best practices and technological tools.

  • We’re also very interested in NGOs and social ventures that are already applying technologies in a way that could be adapted to prevent GBV who are willing to share their expertise. 

  • People working in NGOs who are willing to share their expertise, especially concerning best practices and measuring impact.

experts in fields related to GBV we'd like to get in touch with

  • Judicial officers (especially in Germany) who are familiar with cases of people affected by GBV and who can help us in finding solutions for common problems that people face in their interactions with the legal system. 

  • Police officers who have experience in dealing with affected people, especially concerning their emotional reactions to and fears of reporting crimes against sexual self-determination, procedures and legal hurdles. 

  • Medical personnel, especially forensic doctors who have experiences with cases of gender-based violence / sexual violence. 

  • People who direct self-help groups in the sphere of gender-based violence or trauma and who are willing to share their experience concerning best practices with us.

  • Psychologists or students of psychology who would like to support us in the development of different technological tools.  

  • Psychologists who are specialized in offender psychology and who can strategically advise us. 

  • Other people who are knowledgeable about gender-based violence and who would like to support us in the development of best practices and different projects.

lawyers, legal experts & German tax consultants

  • Lawyers who are specialized on crimes against sexual self-determination and who can help us with questions concerning issues people affected by GBV have regarding their journey through the legal system (incident reports to police, pressing charges, etc.).

  • We are looking for a German legal firm specialized in cases of gender-based violence that is willing to take us on as a pro bono client.

  • We are looking for a German tax consultancy that would be willing to take us on as a pro bono client. 

  • We are looking for German law students and German lawyers to help us answer certain questions via phone, email or Slack (whatever you prefer) on a semi regular basis - no strings attached. Currently we need help in the following disciplines: crimes against sexual self-determination, digital law and data protection 

  • We are looking for law students and lawyers familiar with the European Data protection laws to help us answer certain questions via Skype, email or Slack (whatever you prefer) on a semi regular basis - no strings attached.

  • We are looking for people with experience in publishing reports on research, especially think tanks, who are willing to share their expertise and best practices.

  • We are looking for feminist scholars who have done research on strategies and tools aimed at decreasing gender-based violence. 

  • We are looking for anthropologists / ethnographers who have done field work related to GBV and are willing to share their expertise with us.

how startups can help us

  • We’d like to get in touch with startups and other companies working in a field related to gender equality or whose technology could be applied to our cause 

  • We could use support from startups whose products, especially software, could help us do our work efficiently

IT people / data scientists / humans working in startups

  • Data scientists or other people who are experienced in analyzing studies and statistics and who are willing to share that knowledge with us. 

  • People with experience in writing applications for public grants and subsidies and who are willing to share their knowledge with us or even explicitly help us acquiring funds (referrals to consultants specialized on the acquisition of funding for our kind of project are also appreciated). 

  • Specialists for online security (including blockchain) and hackers who would like to consult on what steps we need to take in order to guarantee the security of our users’ data. 

  • Programmers and other technologically savvy people who could help us in making different projects a reality, whether as one-time consultants or as long-term partners

  • People working at startups / in the startup scene, especially in Berlin, but also internationally, who are willing to share their expertise with us, especially concerning funding

  • People knowledgeable about PR who are willing to share their expertise with us and could help us develop a PR-strategy
